Cornerstone Arts Centre will be celebrating all things Pride this June with a range of workshops, theatre and drag cabaret!
From 9 – 15 June there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
The celebrations start with the return of The PHWOAR Next Door on Saturday 10 June. ‘PHWOAR’ features an exceptional line up of Oxfordshire drag performers and burlesque artists in an explosion of laughter and glitter. This show was a resounding hit last year and the group promises to return to Didcot with a bang.
Then on Saturday 10 June from 11am to 3pm everyone is welcome to add their voice to the centre’s communal artwork or to watch The Bull and The Moon, a fun, child friendly and magical outdoor dance theatre show about the importance of being oneself, family and LGBTQ+ inclusivity. Performances are in the courtyard at 11am, 1pm or 3pm
There are also Pride themed workshops for adults available to book onto at Cornerstone:
And the celebrations come to a close on Thursday 15 June with The Chosen Haram. This show is an uplifting and emotionally candid circus duet performed on two Chinese poles. A powerful and moving performance that will leave audiences with a deeper understanding of the complexities of identity regardless of how they may identify.
